All-Clad is a prestigious American brand renowned for its high-performance bonded cookware. While the brand originated and continues to manufacture much of its flagship stainless steel cookware in the United States, its small electric appliances, such as this programmable slow cooker, are primarily manufactured in China to the brand's specific engineering standards.
Originally founded in 1971 by John Ulam in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, the company grew from a metallurgical breakthrough in bonding different metals. Today, All-Clad is a key subsidiary of the French multinational Group SEB, which acquired the brand in 2004. This acquisition placed All-Clad alongside other prominent household names like Tefal and Rowenta, under the umbrella of one of the world's largest small appliance manufacturers headquartered in Écully, France.
