Luso is an iconic Portuguese mineral water brand, originating from the Termas de Luso at the foot of the Serra do Buçaco. Founded in the 19th century, the brand is historically linked to the Sociedade da Água de Luso, which began industrial bottling to ensure the purity and therapeutic qualities of the water were preserved. Today, Luso remains one of the most recognized and consumed water brands in Portugal, symbolizing local heritage and natural purity.
The brand is currently part of the Sociedade Central de Cervejas e Bebidas (SCC), which was acquired by the Dutch brewing giant Heineken N.V. in 2008. Consequently, while the production remains local to the Luso region in Portugal, the ultimate ownership resides with Heineken in the Netherlands. The product featured in the image is bottled in a returnable glass container, reflecting the company's commitment to sustainability within the Portuguese market.
