HP Sauce is an iconic British brand originally created by Frederick Gibson Garton in Nottingham in 1895. Named after the Houses of Parliament, the brand became a staple of British culture. While it has deep roots in the United Kingdom, manufacturing of HP Sauce products was controversially moved from the Aston Cross factory in Birmingham to the Netherlands in 2007.
Today, the brand is owned by the American multinational Kraft Heinz. This specific Honey BBQ variant is part of their expanded grilling and dipping sauce line, localized with Spanish and Portuguese labeling for the Iberian market. Despite its change in ownership and manufacturing location, it remains one of the most recognized sauce brands globally.
