Dempster's 12 Grain Bread

Dempster's is one of Canada's most recognizable bakery brands, with a history dating back to 1890 when James Dempster founded the Dempster Bakery in Toronto. Known for its 'Made by Canadians, for Canadians' slogan, the brand has grown over more than a century to become a staple in households across the country, specializing in a wide variety of sliced breads, bagels, and tortillas.

Today, Dempster's is owned by Grupo Bimbo, a Mexican multinational food products company that is the largest bakery firm in the world. Grupo Bimbo acquired the brand through its purchase of Canada Bread in 2014. Despite its international ownership, the product continues to be manufactured primarily within Canada at various regional bakeries, utilizing Canadian grains to maintain its local identity and fresh distribution network.
