SodaStream is a world-renowned brand specializing in home carbonation systems that allow users to transform plain tap water into sparkling water and flavored sodas. The brand's history dates back to 1903 when Guy Hugh Gilbey of the London gin distillers, W & A Gilbey Ltd, invented the first machine. For much of the 20th century, it was a staple in British households before undergoing a significant transformation under Israeli ownership in the 2000s, rebranding itself as an eco-friendly alternative to single-use plastic bottles.

Today, the manufacturing is primarily centered in Israel, where the company operates one of its largest production facilities. In 2018, the brand reached a new milestone when it was acquired by the American multinational food and beverage giant PepsiCo. This acquisition has integrated SodaStream into a global distribution network, further emphasizing its role in the 'Beyond the Bottle' strategy aimed at reducing plastic waste while maintaining a dominant position in the small kitchen appliance market.
