Arc'teryx is a high-end Canadian outdoor apparel and equipment brand founded in North Vancouver in 1989. Known for its technical precision and minimalist aesthetic, the brand was named after the Archaeopteryx, the earliest known bird, reflecting the company's focus on evolutionary innovation in outdoor gear.

While the brand maintains a high-tech design center and some specialized manufacturing in British Columbia, the majority of its commercial production, including the popular Cerium down hoody series, takes place in high-tier facilities across Asia, specifically Vietnam and China. This ensures scale while maintaining the brand's rigorous quality standards.

The brand has undergone several ownership changes. Originally founded as Rock Solid by Dave Lane and Jeremy Guard, it was acquired by Adidas-Salomon in 2001 and later sold to Amer Sports in 2005. Today, Amer Sports is controlled by a consortium led by the Chinese sportswear giant Anta Sports, which took the company public on the New York Stock Exchange in 2024. Despite the international ownership, Arc'teryx continues to operate its global headquarters out of North Vancouver.
