OUZO 12 GOLD is a premium anise liqueur that traces its heritage back to 1880 in Constantinople, now Istanbul, where the Kaloyiannis family first established their craft. The name refers to the contents of 'Barrel No. 12', which was considered the finest batch in the distillery.
Today, the brand is a global icon of Greek spirits. While the brand has transitioned through several owners, including IDV (Metaxa) in the late 20th century, it is currently part of the Campari Group. Production remains deeply rooted in traditional Greek methods, typically distilled in copper stills to maintain its authentic Mediterranean character.
