Nestlé Cookie Crisp is a popular breakfast cereal designed to look and taste like miniature chocolate chip cookies. Originally developed and launched in 1977 by the American company Ralston Purina, the brand's ownership shifted in 1997 when General Mills acquired Ralcorp's cereal division.
While General Mills continues to market Cookie Crisp independently in the United States and Canada, the brand's international presence is managed through Cereal Partners Worldwide (CPW). Established in 1990, CPW is a 50/50 joint venture between Nestlé and General Mills, which allows Nestlé to produce and distribute these cereals under its own branding in over 130 countries, including the United Kingdom.
Manufacturing for the European market typically occurs in multiple locations. In the UK, distribution and local ownership are handled by Nestlé UK Ltd, though specific production may take place in various Nestlé-affiliated factories across Europe, such as those in France or other regional hubs, to serve the global market.
