Voltaren Forte topical gel

Voltaren is a globally recognized brand for topical and systemic pain relief, famously known for its active ingredient, diclofenac. The brand was originally developed in Switzerland by the pharmaceutical giant Ciba-Geigy, which later became part of Novartis in 1996 through a major merger.

In recent years, the ownership of Voltaren's consumer healthcare products transitioned. In 2015, Novartis and GSK formed a joint venture, and eventually, the consumer health division was spun off into an independent entity called Haleon in 2022. Today, Haleon owns and manages the Voltaren brand internationally. While the brand is of Swiss origin, its manufacturing is distributed across multiple global facilities including sites in Germany and other European locations to supply various regional markets.
