Gigaset is a historic German telecommunications brand that was originally born out of Siemens AG. It is renowned for manufacturing cordless DECT phones. For a long time, the brand prided itself on 'Made in Germany' quality, with a major production facility located in Bocholt, Germany.

Starting in early 2024, Vtech Holdings Limited, a global leader in electronic learning products and cordless telephony based in Hong Kong, completed the acquisition of Gigaset's assets. This acquisition was part of an insolvency proceeding for Gigaset AG. While the brand maintains its German heritage and engineering roots, it is now an integral part of the Vtech global portfolio. Manufacturing continues to have a strong footprint in Germany for premium models, though components and other lines may utilize Vtech's international supply chain.
