Gallo is one of Spain’s most recognized food brands, specializing in high-quality pasta products. Founded in 1946 by José Espona in Rubí, Barcelona, the brand revolutionized the Spanish market by introducing durum wheat semolina pasta. Today, the product is primarily manufactured in Spanish facilities, including the plant in El Carpio (Córdoba) indicated on the packaging.
Historically a family-owned enterprise under the company Comercial Gallo, the brand was acquired in 2019 by the private equity firm ProA Capital. This transition has allowed the company to maintain its traditional values while expanding its industrial capabilities and market reach within the Mediterranean food sector.
