Arva Flour originates from the historic Arva Flour Mill, which is recognized as North America’s oldest continuously operating commercial flour mill. Established in 1819 on the banks of the Medway Creek in Arva, Ontario, the mill has maintained traditional water-powered milling techniques for over two centuries.

While many historic mills transitioned to industrial conglomerate ownership, Arva remained a cornerstone of independent Canadian milling. For many decades, the Scott family owned and operated the facility until it was sold to local entrepreneurs committed to preserving its heritage. Today, the brand produces a variety of artisan flours and grain products using traditional methods that emphasize quality over mass-market volume. The manufacturing remains localized in Ontario, Canada, ensuring that the heritage and craftsmanship of the brand are preserved for future generations.
