The brand's journey began in 1960 when the Zellstoff-und Papierfabrik Waldhof-Aschaffenburg recorded the name 'Zewa'. Since 2017, Zewa has been part of Essity, a global hygiene and health company that was spun off from the Swedish forestry firm SCA.
