Pukka Herbs is a globally recognized brand specializing in organic herbal teas and supplements. Founded in 2001 by Tim Westwell and Sebastian Pole in Bristol, England, the brand was built on the principles of Ayurveda—an ancient Indian holistic philosophy—combined with organic farming and ethical sourcing practices. The brand quickly grew from a local UK startup into an international favorite, known for its vibrant packaging and unique botanical blends.
While Pukka Herbs started as an independent venture, it was acquired by the multinational consumer goods giant Unilever in 2017. Despite this change in ownership, the brand has maintained its commitment to being a certified B Corp and a member of 1% for the Planet. The manufacturing remains primarily centered in the United Kingdom to ensure high-quality standards, though ingredients are sourced from hundreds of organic farmers across more than 40 countries to support biodiversity and sustainable agriculture.
Today, Pukka Herbs operates as part of Unilever's extensive tea portfolio (recently reorganized under the Lipton Teas and Infusions umbrella for some regions, though corporate control remains with the parent entity). The brand continues to focus on health and wellness, offering a wide variety of caffeine-free infusions that cater to different functional needs, such as relaxation, digestion, and immunity support.
