Aussie is a world-renowned hair care brand celebrated for its upbeat, Australian-inspired identity and signature scents. Despite its name and the inclusion of Australian botanical ingredients, the brand was actually founded in the United States in 1979 by Tom Redmond. The concept for the brand was born after Redmond visited Australia and discovered unique local ingredients like macadamia nut oil and jojoba, which served as the foundation for the original Miracle Moist formula.
Today, Aussie is owned by Procter & Gamble (P&G), a global consumer goods giant headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. P&G acquired the brand as part of its purchase of the Clairol business in 2001. While the brand maintains its Australian spirit, manufacturing occurs in various locations globally, often in proximity to the markets being served, such as France for Europe or North America for the US market. The product in the image is a travel-sized bottle representative of the brand's global distribution network.
