The brand was originally founded in Mexico by the Vero Group (Dulces Vero) in 1952. In 2010, the global food giant Grupo Bimbo acquired Dulces Vero, integrating it into its Barcel snack division. In a more recent strategic shift, Grupo Bimbo sold its confectionery business, Ricolino (which included the Vero brand), to Mondelēz International in 2022. Today, the brand is part of the Mondelēz Snacking Mexico portfolio, ensuring its global distribution and continued presence as an iconic Mexican snack.
