Halloren is Germany's oldest chocolate factory, with a heritage dating back to 1804. Based in Halle (Saale), the brand is most famous for its 'Halloren Kugeln'—spherical chocolates inspired by the buttons on the traditional uniforms of the local salt workers, known as Halloren. The brand survived the GDR era as a state-owned enterprise before being privatized following German reunification.

Today, the Halloren Schokoladenfabrik continues to produce its iconic sweets primarily at its historic location in Germany. The brand is now part of a larger corporate structure after undergoing various ownership shifts, including significant investment by Charlie Investors.
