Wonder Bread

Wonder Bread is one of the most iconic consumer food brands in North America, easily identified by its distinctive red, yellow, and blue primary-colored balloons on a white package. The brand was originally launched in 1921 by the Taggart Baking Company in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The brand has undergone several ownership changes over the last century. Today, Wonder Bread is produced and distributed across the United States by Flowers Foods, which acquired the brand in 2013 following the liquidation of Hostess Brands. In Canada, the brand rights are owned and operated by Bimbo Canada, a subsidiary of the Mexican multinational Grupo Bimbo.

Manufacturing takes place in numerous regional bakeries across the United States and Canada to ensure product freshness. The brand remains a staple of the grocery bakery aisle, known for pioneering the sale of pre-sliced bread in the 1930s and for its long-standing marketing focus on vitamin enrichment.
