CeraVe is a renowned skincare brand originally developed in the United States in 2005. It was created by dermatologists who aimed to provide skincare solutions that restore and maintain the skin's natural barrier through the use of essential ceramides. The brand's products are formulated with a unique MultiVesicular Emulsion (MVE) technology for long-lasting hydration.
In 2017, the global cosmetics leader L'Oréal acquired CeraVe along with several other brands from Valeant Pharmaceuticals (now Bausch Health). Under L'Oréal’s ownership, CeraVe has expanded significantly across international markets, including Europe and Asia. While the brand has American roots, its manufacturing processes are global; products sold in Europe and other regions are frequently manufactured in France to meet regional demand and regulatory standards. Today, CeraVe remains a cornerstone of L'Oréal's Active Cosmetics division, headquartered in Clichy, France.
