Araldite is a world-renowned brand of epoxy adhesives, originally developed in Switzerland by Ciba (later Ciba-Geigy) in the 1940s. It became famous for its high-performance structural bonding capabilities. In Brazil, Araldite has been a household name for decades.
Following various corporate restructurings, the Araldite brand was acquired globally by Huntsman Corporation. However, specifically in South America and Brazil, the Araldite brand for the consumer and DIY market was acquired by Tekbond, which became a subsidiary of Saint-Gobain, a French multinational company. Today, these products are manufactured locally in Brazil under the Saint-Gobain umbrella.
