Centrum is one of the world's most recognized multivitamin brands. It was originally developed in the 1970s by Dr. Ellenbogen at Lederle Laboratories, a subsidiary of American Cyanamid in the United States. Over the decades, the brand's ownership transitioned through various pharmaceutical giants, including Wyeth and later Pfizer.
In 2019, Pfizer and GSK (GlaxoSmithKline) merged their consumer healthcare businesses to create Haleon, which became a fully independent company in 2022. Today, Centrum is a flagship brand of Haleon. Manufacturing occurs in multiple specialized facilities globally, including major sites in the United States and Europe, to supply international markets like Brazil.
