Vero Pica Fresa is a prominent Mexican confectionery product known for its unique combination of sweet strawberry-flavored gummy centers coated in a spicy chili and salt layer. These candies represent a staple of Mexican snack culture, balancing heat and sweetness.
Originally created by the Mexican company Dulces Vero, which was founded in the 1950s by Angel Ibarra Davila and his brothers in Guadalajara, the brand grew to become one of the largest candy manufacturers in Mexico. In 2010, the global food and beverage giant Bimbo (Grupo Bimbo) acquired Dulces Vero to expand its presence in the snack and candy market. Today, the brand is managed under the Barcel subsidiary and continues to be primarily manufactured in Mexico for both domestic consumption and international export, particularly to the United States and Latin American markets.
