Arc'teryx is a high-performance outdoor equipment and apparel brand founded in 1989. Known globally for its innovation and technical excellence, the brand's name refers to the Archaeopteryx, a transitional fossil between dinosaurs and birds, symbolizing evolutionary change. While the brand maintains a high-tech design center and a manufacturing facility known as 'ARC'One' in British Columbia, Canada, the majority of its global retail volume is manufactured across a network of facilities in Asia, including China, Vietnam, and Indonesia. Ownership has evolved significantly over the decades. Originally a Canadian independent, it was acquired by the Salomon Group, which later became part of Adidas. In 2005, it was sold to the Finnish group Amer Sports. In 2019, Amer Sports was acquired by a consortium led by the Chinese sportswear giant Anta Sports, making it the current ultimate owner.
