OSRAM Halogen Light Bulb

OSRAM is one of the world's most historic lighting brands, originating in Germany in 1906. The name is derived from the elements Osmium and Wolfram (Tungsten), which were commonly used for lamp filaments. While the brand has deep German roots, its manufacturing is now global, with facilities in Europe, China, and North America.

Over the decades, OSRAM evolved from a joint venture between Siemens & Halske and AEG into an independent global leader. In 2020, the company was acquired by the Austrian sensor and semiconductor specialist ams AG. The merged entity, known as ams OSRAM, is headquartered in Premstätten, Austria, and continues to produce a wide range of specialty lighting and sensor solutions for automotive, industrial, and consumer markets.
