Pipers Crisps is a premium British snack brand founded in 2004 by three farmers—Alex Albone, Simon Herring, and James Sweeting—who aimed to produce high-quality potato crisps using local ingredients. The brand quickly gained a reputation for its bold flavors and strong heritage, often collaborating with local artisans for their seasonings, such as the Lye Cross Farm for their cheddar flavor.
In 2019, the brand was acquired by the global food and beverage giant PepsiCo. Despite the acquisition, Pipers continues to maintain its distinct branding and production focused on the UK market. The products are primarily manufactured at their facility in Brigg, Lincolnshire, England, utilizing British-grown potatoes to uphold the 'Made by Farmers' ethos that the brand was built upon.
