Schloss Lieser is a prestigious wine estate located in the Mosel region of Germany. The brand is deeply rooted in German wine history, taking its name from the historic castle (Schloss) in the village of Lieser. Originally established in 1904, the estate underwent a significant revival when Thomas Haag, son of the famous winemaker Wilhelm Haag, took over the management in the 1990s and later acquired it.
Manufacturing and production occur exclusively at the estate in the Mosel valley, utilizing grapes from some of Germany’s most renowned steep-slope vineyards. The brand is independently owned by the Haag family, maintaining its status as a boutique, family-run winery focused on high-quality Riesling production. As of 2026, it remains under the ultimate ownership and management of Thomas Haag and his family in Germany.
