Lemonsoda is a classic Italian soft drink brand rooted in history. It originated in 1931 at the Crodo health spa in Italy, initially gaining popularity as a premium non-alcoholic lemonade using natural spring water and real Sicilian lemons. Over the decades, it has become one of Italy's most iconic beverages, known for its high fruit pulp content and refreshing citrus taste.
While the brand was born within the Crodo company, it has seen several changes in ownership. It was previously owned by the Campari Group, which significantly expanded its retail presence. In 2017, the brand (along with others under the Crodo umbrella like Oransoda) was sold to Royal Unibrew, a Danish beverage group. Today, the product continues to be manufactured in Italy, specifically in the Piedmont region using the traditional spring water sources of Crodo, ensuring the authentic Italian heritage remains intact even under international ownership.
