Truvia sweetener

Truvia is a leading brand of zero-calorie, stevia-based sweeteners. It was launched in 2008 as a major collaboration between the American food corporation Cargill and The Coca-Cola Company. While its primary ingredient, stevia leaf extract, is derived from plants traditionally grown in South America and Asia, the manufacturing of the finished product involves complex processing and global supply chains.

Cargill manages the production and distribution of the brand. Much of the stevia leaf extraction for Truvia has historically been performed through exclusive contract manufacturing partnerships in China, while the final blending with other ingredients like erythritol and natural flavors occurs in various facilities worldwide, primarily in North America for the U.S. market. Despite its joint development with Coca-Cola, Truvia is marketed and distributed globally by Cargill.
