Sanex is a well-known personal care brand that focuses on dermatological skin health. It was first launched in 1984 by the Sara Lee Corporation, originally debuting in Spain with a revolutionary soap-free shower gel. The brand's philosophy centers on maintaining the skin's natural balance, which led to its rapid expansion across Europe and South Africa.

Ownership of the brand has transitioned through several major multinational corporations. In 2009, Unilever acquired Sanex as part of its purchase of Sara Lee's personal care division. However, to comply with anti-trust regulations from the European Commission, Unilever was required to divest the brand. Consequently, in 2011, Sanex was sold to the Colgate-Palmolive Company. Today, Sanex products are manufactured in various locations across Europe and other regions to serve its global market, while the brand remains a core part of Colgate-Palmolive's personal care portfolio.
