It is highly regarded for its acoustic guitars and is a leading manufacturer of flat-top guitars. The brand's history is deeply rooted in Pennsylvania, where it has been headquartered for nearly two centuries.

While high-end Martin guitars are famously handcrafted in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, USA, the company also maintains a manufacturing facility in Navojoa, Sonora, Mexico. This second facility is primarily responsible for producing the company's more affordable lines, such as the Road Series, Backpacker, and certain X Series models.
