This is a vintage acoustic guitar from the renowned German manufacturer Framus. The brand, founded in 1946 by Fred Wilfer in Erlangen, Bavaria, became a central pillar of European guitar manufacturing during the mid-20th century. Known for producing high-quality instruments ranging from entry-level to professional concert models, Framus played a significant role in the 'guitar boom' of the 1950s and 60s.

Historically, these instruments were manufactured in the company's facilities in Bubenreuth. Although the original company faced bankruptcy in the late 1970s, the brand was successfully revived in 1995 by Hans-Peter Wilfer, the son of the founder. Today, the brand is part of the Warwick GmbH & Co Music Equipment KG family, based in Markneukirchen, Germany, which continues to produce premium modern instruments while maintaining the historical legacy of the Framus name.
