Stimorol is a world-renowned brand of chewing gum that originated in Denmark in 1915. Founded by Holger Sørensen, the name is a combination of the Dutch words 'stimulans' and 'orol', reflecting its refreshing and stimulating qualities. For decades, it was produced by the Danish company Dansk Tyggegummi Fabrik A/S (now known as Gumlink).
In 2002, the brand was acquired by Cadbury-Schweppes, which later became part of Kraft Foods and eventually Mondelēz International. Today, Stimorol is managed by Mondelēz, a global leader in snacks and confectionery headquartered in the United States. While its roots are Danish, most production for the European market currently takes place at modern facilities in Poland, although the brand maintains a very strong legacy and market presence in Scandinavia and the Benelux regions.
