Neuhaus is a prestige Belgian chocolatier founded in 1857 by Jean Neuhaus, a Swiss immigrant who opened an apothecary shop in Brussels. To make his medicines more palatable, he covered them in a layer of fine chocolate. This innovation evolved in 1912 when his grandson, Jean Neuhaus Jr., created the first filled chocolate, which he named the 'Praline.'
Today, Neuhaus remains a symbol of luxury confectionery, holding a Royal Warrant from the Belgian Court. All Neuhaus chocolates are manufactured in their atelier located in Vlezenbeek, near Brussels, ensuring the preservation of traditional Belgian craftsmanship and the use of high-quality ingredients like 100% natural-origin cocoa butter.
