Carr's is a historic British brand of biscuits and crackers, deeply rooted in its heritage from Carlisle, Cumbria. It was founded by Jonathan Dodgson Carr in 1831, who established a small bakery that eventually became one of the most successful biscuit manufacturers in the world, even receiving a Royal Warrant in 1841.
Today, the brand is part of the Pladis Global portfolio. Pladis was formed in 2016 when the Turkish conglomerate Yıldız Holding combined its various snack businesses. Most Carr's products, especially the classic table water crackers and melts, continue to be produced in their long-standing factory in Carlisle, England, maintaining the brand's traditional British association and expert baking standards.
