Pringles is an iconic American snack brand founded in 1968. Originally developed by Procter & Gamble (P&G), the brand revolutionized the snack industry with its uniform, stackable parabolic chips and protective cylinder tube packaging. The brand's mascot, Julius Pringles, is one of the most recognized global logos.
In 2012, P&G sold Pringles to Kellogg Company, which later transformed into Kellanova in 2023. As of late 2024, Mars, Incorporated has reached a definitive agreement to acquire Kellanova, making them the ultimate owner of the Pringles brand moving forward into 2025 and 2026. While the brand originated in the United States, it is manufactured globally, with significant European production facilities located in Belgium (Mechelen) and Poland (Kutno) to supply the Spanish market.
