Liebig Minestrone soup

Liebig is a historic brand synonymous with the development of the first meat extracts, originally founded in the 19th century based on the research of German chemist Justus von Liebig. While the brand has deep German scientific roots, its commercial and industrial development for the consumer market became majorly concentrated in France and Belgium.

Today, the brand specializes in liquid soups and vegetable-based products. In 2019, the brand was acquired by the Spanish multinational CVC-backed company GBfoods. Most of the Liebig soup products sold in Western Europe are manufactured in France, particularly at their production site in Le Pontet, ensuring local supply chains for their 100% natural ingredient promise.
