Merrild Øko Certificeret Ground Coffee

Merrild is a household name in Denmark, founded by Møller H. Merrild in 1964 in Fredericia. The brand began as a small coffee roastery and quickly grew to become one of the most popular coffee brands in Scandinavia.

While the raw coffee beans are sourced globally from regions such as South and Central America, the manufacturing and roasting processes primarily take place in Denmark. Over the decades, the brand has undergone several ownership changes. It was formerly part of the Sara Lee Corporation and later D.E Master Blenders 1753. Today, Merrild is owned by the Italian coffee giant Luigi Lavazza S.p.A., following their acquisition of the brand in 2015. Despite its Italian ownership, Merrild maintains its strong Danish identity and heritage.
