Carefree is a globally recognized brand in the personal hygiene sector, specializing in panty liners. The brand was originally created by the pharmaceutical giant Johnson & Johnson in the United States during the mid-1970s.
In early 2023, Johnson & Johnson spun off its consumer health division into a separate, independent company called Kenvue. Consequently, Kenvue now serves as the ultimate owner and operator of the Carefree brand worldwide. While the brand has American roots, manufacturing takes place in various global locations to serve local markets, and in the European region, it is often distributed through regional Kenvue subsidiaries.
