Halls is one of the world's most recognized brands of mentholated cough drops and mints. Originally established in the United Kingdom in the 1930s by the Hall brothers, the brand was initially focused on relief for coughs and sore throats. Over the decades, it evolved into a dual-purpose brand catering to both medicinal relief and general confectionery preferences like the liquorice-flavored sugar-free mints shown here.
Today, Halls is a global brand under the stewardship of Mondelēz International. Manufacturing for the European market is predominantly centered in Poland (at the Skarbimierz plant), though the brand's expansive reach means production occurs in several regional hubs worldwide to serve local markets including North and South America. Ownership transitioned from the original Hall brothers through various pharmaceutical and food conglomerates, including Warner-Lambert and Pfizer, before becoming part of what is now Mondelēz International following the 2012 spin-off from Kraft Foods.
