Braun is a world-renowned German consumer products company known for its functional and timeless design. Founded in 1921 by Max Braun in Frankfurt am Main, the brand initially specialized in radio components and later expanded into electric shavers, which horizontalized their market presence starting in the 1950s.
The Braun Series 9 Pro+ is the brand's flagship shaving machine. Unlike many consumer electronics that have moved production to various global locations, high-end Braun shavers like this Series 9 are still primarily manufactured in Germany to maintain high precision and engineering standards.
Historically, the company became a subsidiary of Gillette in 1967. However, following Procter & Gamble's acquisition of Gillette in 2005, Braun became a part of the P&G portfolio. Today, while De'Longhi manages the household appliances division under license, the personal care division (including shavers and oral care) remains owned and operating as a key brand under the American multinational Procter & Gamble.
