Pitú Cachaça

Pitú is one of the most recognizable brands of cachaça, a traditional Brazilian distilled spirit made from fermented sugarcane juice. Founded in 1938 in Vitória de Santo Antão, Pernambuco, by the Ferrer de Morais and Cândido Carneiro families, it has grown from a regional favorite to a global icon, famously represented by the large red shrimp on its label.

While the brand maintains its deep Brazilian heritage and primary production facilities in Pernambuco, its global distribution and international brand rights are managed through a strategic partnership with the German company Underberg. This cooperation has helped Pitú become one of the best-selling cachaça brands worldwide, particularly in Europe, where it is a staple for making Caipirinhas.
