La Vaquita is a classic Mexican confectionery brand specializing in milk-based sweets, most notably its caramel and cajeta flavored hard candies. The original brand, Dulces La Vaquita, was founded in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, a region famous for its traditional milk candies and cajeta manufacturing skills.
In recent decades, the brand was acquired by Mondelēz International (formerly Kraft Foods) through its acquisition of the Mexican confectionery giant Grupo Adams (and later part of the Cadbury buyout). Despite being owned by a global multinational headquartered in the United States, the production of La Vaquita products remains primarily in Mexico to maintain the authentic flavor profile and traditional recipes that consumers expect. This product, the 'Paletón sabor Cajeta', is a popular hard caramel lollipop that reflects Mexico's rich culinary history with goat milk caramel.
