Keler is a historic beer brand deeply rooted in San Sebastián (Donostia), Spain. The brand was founded in 1872 by the German brothers Benedikt and Klaus Kutz, who brought traditional Central European brewing techniques to the Basque Country. For over a century, it has been a cultural icon in Gipuzkoa, recognized by its distinctive yellow label and its connection to local landmarks like La Concha beach.
While its origins are local and artisanal, the brand was eventually acquired by the Damm Group (S.A. Damm). Today, Keler is produced under the supervision of Damm at its modern facilities in Spain, primarily in Barcelona, while maintaining the original recipe and its marketing focus on the Basque market. The Damm Group is one of the leading beverage companies in Spain, with a global reach and a portfolio of several regional and international beer brands.
