Sennheiser is a legendary name in the audio industry, renowned for producing high-fidelity headphones, microphones, and wireless transmission systems. Founded in Germany shortly after World War II, the company built a global reputation for German engineering and acoustic precision.

In a significant shift for the brand in 2022, Sennheiser electronic GmbH & Co. KG completed the sale of its Consumer Electronics division to Sonova Holding AG. This means that while Sennheiser continues to operate its Professional business (microphones and studio monitors) independently from Germany, the consumer product line—including the headphones pictured—is now owned and managed by the Swiss-based Sonova Group under a long-term licensing agreement.

Manufacturing for Sennheiser products is distributed globally. High-end audiophile models are often produced in Ireland or Germany, while many consumer-grade wireless and over-ear models are manufactured in specialized facilities in Romania and China to meet global demand.
