Bautz'ner Senf Mittelscharf (Medium Hot Mustard)

Bautz'ner is an iconic mustard brand originating from Bautzen, Saxony, in East Germany. It was established post-WWII in 1953 and became a household staple in the GDR. The product is still primarily manufactured in its historic home of Bautzen, specifically at the Bautz'ner Senf & Feinkost GmbH facility.

Following the reunification of Germany, the brand was acquired by the Munich-based Develey Senf & Feinkost GmbH in 1992. Today, Bautz'ner remains a subsidiary of Develey, a family-owned company that has grown into a global condiments leader while maintaining regional production roots in Germany.
