Panda Licorice is a renowned confectionery brand that has been a staple of Finnish candy production since its founding in 1920 in Vaajakoski, central Finland. The brand is particularly famous for its 'soft' licorice texture, which was first developed in 1933 using a traditional slow-cooking method that continues to be the hallmark of the product today.

The manufacturing remains centralized in Finland at the original Vaajakoski factory, ensuring that the brand maintains its Nordic heritage and quality standards. Historically part of a Finnish cooperative (SOK), the brand was acquired by the Norwegian conglomerate Orkla Group in 2005.
