Wall's is a historic British brand specializing in meat products, particularly sausages and savory pastries. Founded in 1786 by Richard Wall as a butcher shop in London's St James's Market, the brand became a household name in the UK. In the early 20th century, the business famously diversified into ice cream to balance summer sales when meat demand was lower. Eventually, the meat and ice cream divisions were split.
Today, the Wall's brand for sausages and meat products is owned and produced by Pilgrim's Food Masters (a subsidiary of the American company Pilgrim's Pride). In 2021, Pilgrim's Pride acquired the meats and meals business from the Irish Kerry Group, which had previously held the rights. While the brand has deep British roots, its corporate ownership is now international, under the ultimate control of JBS S.A., a Brazilian multinational that is the world's largest meat processing company. Manufacturing for the UK market typically takes place at specialized facilities within England, utilizing both domestic and imported pork depending on the specific product line.
