O.P. Anderson Aquavit

O.P. Anderson is Sweden's oldest and most iconic aquavit, first launched in 1891 by Carl August Anderson, who named it after his father, Olof Peter Anderson. The spirit is renowned for its traditional flavoring of caraway, aniseed, and fennel, and it has been produced organically since 2002. Historically associated with Swedish festive traditions, the brand represents a significant piece of Nordic culinary heritage.

Originally produced by O.P. Anderson & Son in Gothenburg, the brand sat under the Swedish state monopoly Vin & Sprit for many years. Following the privatization of Vin & Sprit and subsequent acquisitions, the brand is currently owned by Anora Group. Manufacturing remains deeply rooted in Sweden, specifically at the O.P. Anderson Distillery in Sundsvall.
