Polsat is one of Poland's leading commercial television channels, launched on December 5, 1992. It was the first private channel in Poland to be granted a national license. The channel is known for its wide range of programming, including news, entertainment, and popular TV series such as 'Świat według Kiepskich', which is featuring in the image.
The brand originated in Poland and was founded by Zygmunt Solorz-Żak. Over time, the Polsat brand has expanded into a massive media and telecommunications group known as Grupa Polsat Plus. This group integrated terrestrial television, satellite TV, and mobile telecommunications services.
Today, the ultimate owner is Cyfrowy Polsat S.A., a publicly traded company headquartered in Warsaw, Poland. It remains one of the largest media and telecommunications enterprises in Central and Eastern Europe, primarily controlled by its founder and his family entities. The content is produced and broadcast primarily from studios located within Poland for the domestic market.
