Polsat is one of Poland's leading commercial television channels, launched on December 5, 1992. It was the first private channel in Poland to be granted a national license. Today, the ultimate owner is Cyfrowy Polsat S.A., a publicly traded company headquartered in Warsaw, Poland. It remains one of the largest media and telecommunications enterprises in Central and Eastern Europe, primarily controlled by its founder and his family entities. The content is produced and broadcast primarily from studios located within Poland for the domestic market.
